These questions have dominated Jewish debate since the advent of the modern era, and remain the pressing questions for liberal and committed Jews. For many years Rabbi Jonathan’s “Thursday Class” has explored the vast terrain of Jewish sacred texts, from the earliest biblical sources up to contemporary Jewish master teachers.

Participants are always rewarded with an invigorating combination of deeper understanding of the Jewish tradition and the wisdom that our ancestors’ inquiries bring to bear on our own lives.
