Rabbi Jonathan offers several compelling concerts. With the popular African American folk singers and storytellers Kim and Reggie Harris, Rabbi Jonathan tours synagogues, churches and concert venues with the inspiring “Let My People Go: A Jewish and African American Celebration of Freedom”. With veteran musical theater actress Carol Fox Prescott, Rabbi Jonathan presents an evening of song devoted to the profound Jewish influence on American musical theater, titled “There’s a Place for Us: Jewish Songs and Spirit from the Broadway Stage”. Rabbi Jonathan also presents an uplifting program of the music of Pete Seeger, as well as a program of classic israeli and American folk songs, “Songs of Love, Hope and Courage”.
Consider bringing Rabbi Jonathan to your community as both a performer and as a scholar-in-residence. Along with his gifted colleagues, Rabbi Jonathan will lead experiential workshops that accompany and enhance the power and message of the concerts.
Rabbi Jonathan and Kim and Reggie Harris have performed “Let My People Go: A Jewish and African American Celebration of Freedom” widely over the past decade, including venues in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, The Clearwater Festival in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Graz, Austria. His other programs have been performed closer to home in and around the beautiful Hudson River Valley of upstate New York.
